Thame Remembers

House plaques update 2023

The Individual House Plaques project aims to place a small cast metal plaque at the house in Thame of each service man who died for his country in either World War, but only where that house can be identified beyond reasonable doubt.

Currently ninety three names have been identified; of these sixty nine are from WWI and twenty four from WWII and they are spread around the older parts of Thame.

We have fitted seventeen plaques so far with a further ten on order. SeeĀ Plaques update leaflet May23 for more details.

That leaves sixty six plaques to follow.
