  1. Issue 17 now out!

    We are thrilled to present the latest Thame Remembers newsletter. This edition focuses on our new website developments, including the Thame Remembers Google Map functionality. This work has resulted in finding a new Thame soldier raising our target to 214 casualties. Enjoy the read and please share with others.

  2. New Google Map feature

    After months of hard work in the background by Steve Perry and Pentangle (Thame based IT consultancy), we are thrilled to have added new functionality to the website. You can now use a Google powered interactive map to find, locate and read about our fallen soliders. See here for details: View Map

  3. First cross delivery of 2016

    Last Saturday, 9 January, saw the first Thame Remembers cross delivery of 2016. Thame resident Corporal Tim Jones of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment, currently stationed in Germany, laid a cross at Hanover War Cemetery in memory of Lance Corporal Ronald Frank Harris, Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry, who died on 5 April 1945.

  5. Gulf Delivery

    Another Thame Remembers cross was delivered last Sunday by Ann & Adrian Dite from Thame, who made the special trip to Bahrain whilst visiting their son in Doha for Christmas. They commemorated Warrant Officer Joseph Arthur Castle, who died in 1957 whilst serving in the Cyprus Conflict.

  8. Dave reading the Ode of Remembrance

    We thank BBC reporter Victoria Cook for images of Dave Bretherton (project leader) reading the Ode of Remembrance at Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium.   9. Battlefield tour delivery reports

    It has taken a while, but we now have all the 40 or so completed battlefield tour delivery reports live on our website. Take a look at http://www.thameremembers.org/delivery-reports for details of the French and Belgium deliveries. NB they are in alphabetical order by solider.
