  4. Final day of the Battlefield Tour

    Our 40 strong group will today conclude their amazing trip that has taken them on an action packed tour across many cemeteries in Belgium and France. BBC reporter Victoria Cross has been very active on Twitter @thameremembers. Take a look at videos and images from the previous 4 days.

  5. Day 3 at Arras Memorial

    The group have reached Arras Memorial, a World War I memorial in France located in the Faubourg d’Amiens British Cemetery. The Arras Memorial commemorates 34,795 servicemen.

  6. Day 2 in the trenches

    Our group continued their journey today stopping at the Beaumont-Hamel preserved trenches on the WW1 Somme battlefields.

  7. Day 1 of the tour reaches Belgium

    Our battlefield tour begins… first stop is Essex Farm Cemetery where the “Flanders Fields” poem was written.

  8. Battlefield Tour group reach Dover

    The group has made it to Dover from Thame and will head to Altia Hotel in Lille, to rest before some of the Thame Remembers crosses and wreathes are distributed in Belgium tomorrow.

    Councillor Nichola Dixon actively supported the Thame Remembers project when she delivered a cross to Sergeant Brian Perry in Berkhamsted this week.  She was joined by many of the Thame Town Council staff members.
